CBD and Heart Health: Can CBD Help the Heart ?

According to the World Health Organisation, heart disease is the leading cause of death worldwide. India has one of the highest rates of cardiovascular disease (CVD) in the world, and the total number of CVD deaths in India is expected to climb each year.

Today's younger population is more susceptible to cardiovascular illnesses because of bad lifestyle choices including smoking, drinking, eating processed food, not getting enough vitamins and minerals, and consuming too much sugar,

Individuals at risk of CVD lacks physical activity, addicted to tobacco or alcohol may have high blood pressure, glucose, and cholesterol levels, as well as being overweight.

CBD is the latest buzz in the health care sector because of its incredible anti-inflammatory and anti-oxidative characteristics, which can assist with everything from chronic pain, inflammation, sleep disorders, mental health illness and anxiety, among many other conditions.

The ECS is a complex biological system that regulates a variety of bodily processes such as appetite, sadness, nervousness, and pain sensation. Researchers are discovering that the endocannabinoid plays a role in the circulatory (heart) system's function.

    An increasing amount of data links dysregulated ECS to a variety of cardiovascular diseases.

    CBD may assist your endocannabinoid system manage the cardiovascular system, whether you have a heart issue or want to prevent heart disease.

     

    How can CBD Help the Heart?

    CBD contains anti-inflammatory and antioxidant qualities that could aid in lowering risk factors for heart disease. Additionally, it might aid in lowering the risk of associated diseases, including stroke.

    Blood Pressure

  • LDL stands for low-density lipoprotein. LDL cholesterol, also known as "bad" cholesterol, carries cholesterol particles throughout the body. LDL cholesterol accumulates in the walls of your arteries, hardening and narrowing them.
  • HDL stands for high-density lipoprotein. HDL, or "good" cholesterol, collects extra cholesterol and transports it to your liver.
  • CBD oil has anti-inflammatory qualities that may aid in lowering cholesterol levels and improving heart health. Cholesterol is a lipid (fat) that is found in the blood. CBD has been demonstrated in animal tests to enhance HDL levels (called "good" cholesterol) and lower LDL levels following four weeks of CBD treatment.

    Inflammation

    The most well-known use of CBD is as an anti-inflammatory. Since inflammation causes oxidative stress, which generates free radicals in the body that harm and destroy bodily cells, it is the root cause of many chronic illnesses.

    Antioxidants in CBD are abundant and help the body combat free radicals. Inflammation has a relationship with heart disease. It is more difficult for the heart to pump blood throughout the body when blood vessels are inflamed.

    There are several CBD products to choose from. Understanding these distinctions might assist you in determining which type is appropriate for your needs. These are some examples:

  • Isolate: CBD is the only cannabinoid present in the product.
  • Full-spectrum: Contains terpenes, various cannabinoids, and up to 0.3% THC, as well as other naturally occurring cannabis plant extracts.
  • Broad: Contains CBD and other components/cannabinoids present in cannabis plants but no THC.
  •  

    If you're new to CBD, start with a little dose at first. Keep an eye out for any negative effects. If you choose, you can gradually raise your dosage (no more than 5 to 10 mg at a time) until you find the dose that works best for you.
